My instructor is a real player in the mastering game, and he did a fine job teaching us how a real mastering engineer does it in a full-on mastering studio. However, I'm more on the bedroom/budget-friendly home studio side of things for now, and while I do still send my best tracks out to mastering studios, it’s great to have an idea about what the whole process of mastering consists of, and be able to master tracks at home to a professional level when I need to.  - Alan, Mastering student
